AXIS Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA

LGBTQ+ wedding in downtown Seattle

Kyle and Quintin’s monochromatic wedding at AXIS Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle was the quintessential industrial chic wedding—industrial venue meets modern elegant design. Opting for a celebration that blended the historical charm of the venue with modern flair, the couple elected for a timeless all-white color palette with hints of gold accents, greenery installations, and classic black tie attire. A minimalist and refined design was just the way to go!

While searching for the perfect venue, Kyle and Quintin wanted to find a space that represented their love of Seattle, architecture, and desire to bring their family and friends together for a night they wouldn’t forget. Upon setting up a walkthrough, they toured Seattle’s AXIS Pioneer Square first and knew right away that the venue was the perfect place to host their wedding celebration. The venue boasts 15-foot brick archways, antique wood floors, and an elegant industrial-modern design.

After kicking off the wedding weekend with an intimate and casual rehearsal dinner at Kyle and Quintin’s apartment in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, the couple ventured to AXIS located in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood to host an elevated wedding experience for their guests. In the early afternoon on their wedding day, K+Q stepped into their classic black suits and met for their first look at the top of a parking garage in Downtown Seattle. They were joined by their family and wedding party for photos throughout the Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Their Seattle wedding ceremony took place in AXIS Pioneer Square’s main space with dozens of candles lining the center aisle and a hanging greenery installation to frame the ceremony. Overhead the couple and their guests, Crimson Haze hung antique styled string lights adorned with sprigs of greenery from Sublime Stems to create an elegant setting for the ceremony. Puget Sound Strings welcomed guests into the space with modern renditions of classic songs while Duos Catering passed champagne to guests upon arrival.

For Kyle and Quintin’s reception at AXIS Pioneer Square, guests exited the ceremony space to join cocktail hour while the space was transformed to entertain guests for dinner. The dinner was inspired by creating an experience that accentuates the venue’s natural charm and layout while creating an elegant dining experience for guests. Seven long tables were placed evenly throughout the space with the couple sitting at the center table and framed by the greenery installation. Sublime Stems incorporated all-white, in-season, and local blooms through simple, luxe arrangements while adding in taper candles for height and pillar candles from the ceremony aisle

After a three-course dinner and wine pour from Duos Catering, the couple enjoyed an emotional dance with their mothers to Callum Scott’s No Matter What under twinkle lights, blue uplighting, and a dancing under the clouds dry ice effect by Crimson Haze. They enjoyed an energetic dance party and a private last dance at the end of the night with Music by J. Fields.

Every wedding is unique and a direct reflection of the couple. And that’s what makes the Q Jancola experience so special — working intimately with every client to create an incredible experience that will live on in their memories for generations to come.
